Our infrastructure work makes the case for the investment required to keep London moving, connected and resilient, with the aim of supporting the city’s long-term growth, productivity and global competitiveness. 

Our work here includes making the case for investment in publicly funded infrastructure, such as TfL and HS2, and ensuring London’s privately funded utility infrastructure is adequately resourced to deliver the net zero transition and can be relied upon. 

With Government spending constrained, delivering the critical infrastructure London needs will also rely on developing innovative funding solutions to crowd-in private investment; we therefore bring together members spanning investors, service providers, regulators and policymakers to identify ways to accelerate private sector investment in publicly-funded infrastructure, as well as the role economic regulation can play in incentivising investment into infrastructure spanning new homes, full fibre and 5G.

As London’s population grows and as we strive for net zero carbon emissions, it is vital that we can bring the expertise of the private sector together with the decision makers shaping the future operating environment in the Capital. Nowhere is this more important that our infrastructure where we require new transport connections to boost mobility and stimulate development; a smarter more agile electricity grid to better match supply against demand; improved flood defences and sustainable drainage for better climate resilience, and fast, reliable fibre and mobile connectivity to lay the foundations for the innovations of the future to flourish.
