‘Re-skilling for Recovery’ report – London First commentJanuary 16, 2009
The Parliamentary Select Committee on Skills today released their report, ‘Re-skilling for Recovery’.
Baroness Jo Valentine, Chief Executive of London First, said:
“As we enter the economic downturn, London First welcomes this intelligent critique of Government skills policy. More than ever, the publicly funded re-skilling programmes need to become more understandable and more accessible. The byzantine complexity of the current system is its own worst enemy. All too often, that prevents providers from delivering reactive and flexible training that both companies and individuals need.”
