London First members housing survey
If London is to remain a competitive place in which to do business it must build more homes of all tenures to support a growing workforce, reduce long commutes into the capital and help attract the best and brightest talent to live in London.
London First has carried out research among its members, to investigate perceptions on London’s housing crisis from the capital’s employers.
Key findings included:
- 68% of respondents are worried about the impact that a shortage of housing and high prices are already having on their ability to recruit and retain staff
- 75% were concerned about the future impact that rising housing costs will have on their ability to recruit and retain staff
- 70% believe the housing crisis will affect London’s future economic success.
