Mayor of Atlanta to address World Cities conferenceAugust 8, 2014
Mayor Kasim Reed of Atlanta, Georgia, is the latest addition to the high profile list of speakers at the London First international conference, ‘World Cities: Safe, Secure, Smart and Resilient’.
The two-and-a-half day event on 8-10 October at the British Library in London is rapidly gaining momentum and has already attracted a full listing of sponsors and exhibitors. Delegates from the private sector include representatives from Arup, Atkins, Canary Wharf Group, Deutsche Bank, Hiscox, Intel, PwC, QinetiQ, RBS, Siemens, and Vodafone.
From the public sector, representatives from city councils, police forces and academic institutions in countries as diverse as Denmark, Hungary, India, Mexico and Venezuela are also registered.
The event is officially supported by the UK’s Home Office and the London Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime.
The guest speaker at the pre-conference dinner on 9 October is now confirmed as Nick Ross, a well-known broadcaster and journalist who fronted the BBC’s Crimewatch for several years.
