London City Airport expansion plansOctober 8, 2015
London City Airport is appealing against the Mayor’s decision to overturn their expansion plans, including an extended terminal and seven new stands for aircraft.
The benefits of the development would be extra air connections from City to Europe and further afield and 1,500 new jobs at the airport campus alone.
London First expressed its dismay at the time, Baroness Valentine called it “a bad decision for London, a bad decision for the local people who would have benefited from over 1,000 new jobs, and a bad decision for the UK economy.”
City Airport has a public consultation running until 26th October and information and comment can be found at #LCYes.
We have a template letter and details on what the expansion would mean that we will circulate to members we think will be particularly interested in the issue. The aim of this is for members to send corporate and/or individual responses to the Planning Inspectorate in Bristol.
