Brexit: One Year On. The Challenge of Securing UK’s Borders

This briefing will launch the second of our reports on the post-Brexit situation. The report will examine the challenges around the prospect of ‘no deal’ and new trading partnerships as they may affect border security. The briefing and report will look at the legal regulations and obligations in areas such as the Irish border and the application of GDPR. It will also look at the question of illegal migration and the role of organised crime in cross-border activities. Finally, it will consider the size, structure, manning, equipment, and computer requirements of the UK Border Force.
