Comment on Ryanair/Stansted growth agreementSeptember 16, 2013
Commenting on the Ryanair growth agreement with Stansted Airport, announced today, Baroness Jo Valentine said:
“This is excellent news for the airport and its new owner. More competition between London’s airports is good for airlines, good for passengers and needs to be encouraged.
“What’s important now, though, is to improve significantly the surface transport links to Stansted from central London, as soon as possible. Research undertaken for London First by YouGov last week showed that 66% support improvements to public transport serving airports with room to grow, such as Stansted and Gatwick. That would be a further improvement to their competitiveness and a real benefit to passengers.”
